How counselling can help

As a Counsellor I do not judge or advise. At all times I would work to understand you and by looking at things together this will help you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your situation.

Counselling offers the possibility of gaining a greater understanding of your life, how you see yourself and how your self-perception shapes your reaction to others and life's challenges. This self-awareness can be an invaluable tool in many ways, in particular in helping us develop self worth; the inner strength that comes from realising that we are worthy of self-respect and the respect of others.

Counselling can help with many of the problems we can face at any time in our life: Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Relationship difficulties, Bereavement, Divorce, Redundancy. Abusive relationships, past or present, can be addressed very effectively through counselling, enabling you to see how you have been affected and to look at how you can free yourself from the hold that abusive experiences can have.
